Brief Crosscurrent update

I have received editorial feedback and revision requests for Crosscurrent . The former was very good and the latter was very minimal. I was especially pleased with the need for only minimal revisions because, well, it's Star Wars and that's some deep water. Too, I wanted to deliver something that required very little re-work (by both the editors and me).
Anyway, I will see neither hide nor hair of the novel again until I'm holding a print galley in my hands.
Meanwhile, let me just say this: Light sabers, baby. Light. Sabers.

Anyway you can convince them to release it in time for xmas?
Don't think I haven't tried, but these things move at their own speed.

Although it would be nice to have your (first) Star Wars book before Christmas, it could be awkward if you found yourself competing not only for our dollars but also exposure (I mean marketing stuff and so on) against fellow "virgin" Star Wars author Joe Schreiber and his horror novel Death Troopers (due mid-October). It's probably better that there is a reasonable gap between the publication of Schreiber's and your novel. Anyway I can't wait till New Year and Crosscurrent is released. 'Tis on pre-order!

Oh! That's exciting! Good for you!
I'm so giddy I can't put it into words!
I'm sure that means a whole lot of some real relaxation for you, Paul. :-) Great news. :-)

I anticipate being taken back to my D-I-Y lightsaber days, when a length of steel rod fixed to some handle mechanism was all it took for months of wacking and smacking.
